Product Description The Progressive VALT Lightweight Steel Coil by Cane Creek for 50 to 57 mm stroke Cane Creek brings together the advantages of steel coil and air shocks with the progressive VALT Lightweight steel coil for rear shocks with 50 to 57 mm stroke. The coil itself has a stroke of 55 mm. In contrast to conventional steel coils, a progression of the spring characteristic curve sets in from half of the coil stroke, which makes it possible to use steel coils in linear rear suspensions. You get the direct response of a traditional suspension setup with enough progression for an aggressive riding style and the corresponding frame designs. As with all VALT Lightweight coils, the weight reduction compared to conventional steel coils comes out on top. The question of whether to choose air or steel coil suspension hardly ever comes up anymore.
