Even if it is unlikely that FAIL SAFE will be used, it is good to know that it is there.  More safety with the same weight.  By redesigning the pedal body, NC-17 was able to compensate for the shoring and the additional weight of the FAIL SAFE system. Like its predecessor Sudpin III, Sudpin IV remains one of the lightest in this pedal category, weighing only 364 g.
