It was intended for use with electronic Di2 shifters and derailleurs, which is why it is designed for internal cable routing. For riding comfort and the special requirements on unpaved roads the drop of the lower bar is only 122 mm. In addition, the lower bar has a 16° flare, which gives you a comfortable, secure grip.
